This is one Crazy Pumpkin! (Our latest frugal adventure at Michaels)

Check out this Crazy Pumpkin!

Remember, it's the process, not the product :)

It's about quality time and having fun.

I do think it's quite cute, oversized feather nose and all!  I can't wait for it to take center stage at our food table on Halloween.

It was decorated by my daughter's hands at the latest Michaels Make-It-Take-It Workshop.

Our new Michaels store here in Lafayette, LA has a fancy schmancy room just for workshops and such, which makes it all the more enjoyable!

Now, if you haven't been to one of these workshops with your children, you are missing out.  You simply make a small purchase of the craft item featured, and the rest of the supplies are provided for you to make the project with your child.  It is a frugal and fun way to spend time with your children, not to mention that it brings out the inner creative crafter in you!

For this project, the required purchase was the pumpkin ($5), and everything needed to complete it was supplied.  There were a ton of choices available, too-so creativity was the only option. Paint, foam, pom-poms, feathers-oh my!  No clean-up required, and you take your project with you when you're done. Now, that's my kind of crafting...

Check out the upcoming events at Michaels and mark your calendar.  Tip: Arrive a few minutes early so you can get what you need and get set up.  Most of all, have fun!
