When you are visiting your favorite retailer's website or looking at their latest ad, look for a note about mobile alerts-if they don't offer them yet, chances are that they will in the near future.
Also, when you register at a retailer's website, many also offer a spot to enter your phone number-and if they have a mobile alert program in place, you will be offered the opportunity to opt-in during registration.
